Where have all the macho men gone?

An increasing number of men, celebrities in particular, are now the face of L'Oreal lines and products. Men are now migrating to the tanning salon, seeing nutritionists/beauticians, and yoga studios. "iPod speakers come below hair dryers, straighteners, and grooming kits in the list of travel products men claim they cannot love without." One in eight men say they are unable to travel without a straightener; one in five men take a hair dryer on a holiday. The article claims male grooming is actually a giant leap in the right direction in the battle for equality between sexes. The term metrosexual is slowly becoming a more common word in our vocabulary to describe some men - not a girly man - but a man who looks after himself.
